Description:

The painting itself features various scenes of Colt firearms in use in black and appears to be done on a large sheet of white/cream colored semi-opaque fiberglass. The visible area of the painting is approximately 85 1/2 x 44 1/2 inches and 90 1/2 x 49 1/2 inches including the frame. An included information board with the mural describes the work as done by a local Hartford, Connecticut artist by the name of Browning. It also states that the mural was incorporated into a general display by the Colt Display Workshop, in which is was used as a backdrop. When on display the mural was backlit and the different models of handgun produced by Colt were hung in front of it using fishing line. These guns hung in the empty spaces of the mural where pictures of these guns have since been added to the mural. Also included is a photo featuring the mural incorporated into the display at the 1969 International Association of Chiefs of Police show in Miami, Florida with Colt employee Tom Turner, who appears to have signed the photo, speaking with attendees of the show. An extraordinary one-of-a-kind factory advertising piece to take the display of your Colt collection to the next level.

Rating Definition:

Very fine overall, with the fiberglass showing some mild age yellowing, some very scattered light chipping/loss of the black paint, and minimal handling marks on the frame.
