The included Adams & Adams engraving letter confirms the serial number, caliber, engraving pattern as "Style #4 by John Ulrich 8-1850 to 9-1924", finish as gold plating performed by Reliable, and bluing by Turnbull, completion date as July 14, 2008, and that the engraving was performed by John Adams Sr. Beaded blade front and elevation adjustable semi-buckhorn rear sights, and standard barrel markings. The barrel features a single gold inlaid band at the muzzle and flourishes of fine scroll and punch dot engraving at the muzzle and breech. The brilliant gold plated receiver is engraved in the style of iconic Winchester Engraver John Ulrich with swirling scroll, standing bear scene on the right side, and the deer hunting scene on the left. The forend cap is gold plated and scroll engraved to match The upper tang is signed "ADAMS" behind the sliding safety. Smooth straight grain walnut straight grip stock and forearm with checkered Winchester buttplate. With cloth and leather takedown case.

Exceptionally fine as masterfully embellished by John Adams Sr. 99% high quality Turnbull blue finish remains with 99% bright gold plating, sharp engraving, and some light handling marks. The wood is also excellent with some small dings. Mechanically excellent. Case is very good with some scuffs on the leather corner protectors.
