Manufactured in 1960 and subsequently masterfully embellished by Master Engraver Horacio Acevedo. Throughout the years Acevedo worked for multiple firms including for Colt through special commission projects and owning his own family operated business. His work has been featured in "The Book of Colt Engraving" and "The Rampant Colt", both by R.L. Wilson. This revolver, with its old world style, is a prime example of Mr. Acevedo's masterful work. It features 75% coverage American Western style floral scroll engraving and beautifully finished small parts in nitre blue. The revolver was further upgraded by shortening the barrel and ejector rod housing to near Sheriff's Model length and fitting it with a pair of diamond pattern checkered grips. Includes a fitted hardwood case with Colt lining, an empty Western Super-X cartridge box, and a cleaning rod. Comes with a 2013 dated receipt from L&M Enterprises.

Excellent as masterfully embellished by Horacio Acevedo and modified, retains 99% nickel finish with a few scattered light handling marks and some very mild flaking on the muzzle and 98% of the original nitre blue with some very light wear. The grips are also excellent with a few light handling marks and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. The case is very good with some scattered minor handling/storage marks.
