Manufactured in 1978 and engraved by A.A. White Engravers. This revolver features factory Class A scroll engraving. One of the only 10 Western States Animal Editions representing California with gold inlaid running bear on the recoil shield, "7 of 10" gold inlaid on the right side of the frame, gold inlaid frame borders, two gold inlaid bands at the front and rear of the barrel and two gold inlaid bands at the rear of the cylinder. The revolver has the standard fixed sights and markings, and is fitted with checkered hard rubber Rampant Colt/American Eagle relief grips. The accompanying factory letter verifies the caliber, barrel length, blue and casehardened finish, hard rubber grip, A.A. White Engravers, Western States Animal Special Edition deluxe walnut case and that it was shipped as 1 to Pacific International Merchandising Corp., Sacramento, California on Colt Custom Shop order number 083, September 12, 1978. Complete with a deluxe walnut presentation case, French fitted with red velvet lining. A brass plaque is inserted into the top of the case with the following inscription "WESTERN STATES ANIMAL, SPECIAL EDITION, California, 7 of 10".

Near new with only the slightest handling/storage marks and a very slight cylinder drag line. The case is excellent.
