Lustrous blued bifurcated lump barrels with precious metal wire-inlays at the rear of the breech marked "A. GALAZAN" on the left and "CONNECTICUT SHOTGUN M.F.G CO./ N.B. CT U.S.A." on the right side of the top barrel with a solid matted rib, 2 3/4" marked chambers, automatic ejectors, and chokes measuring at modified/full. Casehardened pinless side lock action with extensive precious metal inlays throughout featuring a pair of pointers outlined by wildflowers with two woodcock taking flight on the right side, a pair of setters and three woodcock on the left, a single setter with a ringneck pheasant on the bottom of the action, and wildflowers on the fences, all in bas-relief. Inlays throughout the trigger guard, top and bottom tang, and top lever with a pheasant in relief on the rolled trigger guard and a bobwhite quail in relief on the top lever. Signed "A. PIARDI Creative Art" next to the trigger guard as well as the serial number "G428" gold-inlaid in script on the lower tang. Features a single non-selective trigger and top tang slide safety. Fitted with stunning, exhibition quality, carved and precious metal relief and wire-inlaid Turkish Circassian walnut pistol grip stock with very fine checkering, Anson push button carved, metal-inlaid forend with inlaid forend iron and relief designs with "GALAZAN" gold-inlaid on the extended forend shoe, inlaid grip cap, relief initial oval, and checkered gold-inlaid butt with inlaid heel and toe caps. Creative Art was started in 1987 as a collaboration between master engravers in Gardone Val Trompia, Italy, with Armando Piardi joining in 1989 as the fifth master engraver, and have engraved for many of the top gunmakers in the world. Excellent with nearly all of the original blue finish remaining on the barrels, as well as nearly all the original case-colors and the precious metal inlays remaining on the action. Only the slightest handling marks are visible on the wood with all of the metal inlays still intact. This is truly an exhibition of the master engraver's and stockmaker's art!
