Manufactured in 1958 and subsequently elaborately embellished. This spectacular work was done in Ferlach, Austria by world renowned engraver Albin Obiltschnig. Dual white bead sights on the matte vent rib with standard barrel markings, 2 3/4 inch chamber, and modified choke. The receiver features full coverage fine scroll engraving surrounding detailed game scene vignettes with sterling silver inlaid game birds and dogs. Each side of the receiver has two separate game scenes featuring fine gold wire oval borders. The left side has two silver pheasants in flight and a silver hunting dog on point. Both vignettes on the right side feature silver ducks in the feeding position. Premier grade walnut Monte Carlo stock with diamond skip-line checkering, extension forearm, and vented recoil pad. Comes with a collector's inventory list attesting the engraving was by Obiltschnig. Length of pull is 13 3/4 inches. Obiltschnig's work graced the cover of the January 1974 issue of "The American Rifleman" as well as in an article on pages 36-37 of this issue. He is without a doubt among the world's finest engravers of the 20th century.

Exceptionally fine as master engraved and inlaid by Master Engraver Albin Obiltschnig with 98% of the high polish blue finish remaining, sharp engraving, detailed inlays, and some scattered light handling marks. The wood is also very fine with attractive color, crisp checkering, and some small scattered dings. Mechanically excellent.
