Lustrous blued bifurcated lump barrels with gold and platinum inlays at the rear of the breech marked "A. GALAZAN" in gold on the left and "CONNECTICUT SHOTGUN MFG. CO./ N.B. CT U.S.A." in gold on the right side of the top barrel with a solid matted rib, 2 3/4" marked chambers, automatic ejectors, and chokes measuring at improved cylinder/modified . Blued pinless side lock rounded action with extensive enamel work throughout featuring a pair of pointers with two bobwhite quail taking flight on the right side, a pair of retrievers and two teal in flight on the left, and a single spaniel with a retrieved woodcock on the bottom of the action, the action is also extensively inlaid with gold and platinum geometric designs surrounding the game scenes, "GALAZAN" inlaid on both sides of the action, as well as inlays throughout the trigger guard, top and bottom tang, and top lever, and signed "D M TERZI" next to the trigger guard as well as the serial number "G133" gold-inlaid on the lower tang. Features a single nitre blue non-selective trigger and top tang slide safety. Fitted with stunning exhibition quality carved, gold and platinum relief and wire-inlaid, Turkish Circassian walnut pistol grip stock with very fine checkering, Anson push button carved, gold-inlaid forend with inlaid forend iron and relief designs on the extended forend shoe, inlaid grip cap, relief initial oval, and checkered, gold-inlaid butt with inlaid heel and toe caps. The enamel technique used on the game scenes requires placing individual dots of enamel with a microscopic needle one layer at a time to complete the realistic, colorful scenes. This engraved action is featured prominently on pages 204-205 of "Mario Terzi Master Engraver" by Lamboy & Lamboy, the definitive publication on the master engraver's work. Excellent with nearly all of the original blue finish remaining on the barrels, as well as nearly all the original blue and the precious metal inlays remaining on the action. Only the slightest handling marks are visible on the wood with all of the metal inlays still intact.
