Manufactured in 1960 and subsequently upgraded by Master Engraver Gino Cargnel. Lyman gold beaded blade front and elevation adjustable rear notch sights, single gold inlaid band at the muzzle, standard markings, Winchester "WP" proofs on the barrel and receiver at the breech, and factory grooved receiver top for scope mounting. The receiver features flourishes of fine scroll engraving around gold and precious metal inlaid scenes of a squirrel on the right and a rabbit on the left. The left side of the receiver is signed "G. CARGNEL". Fancy figured, fleur de lis checkered walnut straight grip stock and matching forearm with rubber recoil pad.

Exceptionally fine as upgraded and embellished by Master Engraver Gino Cargnell with 99% factory quality blue finish remaining, slightly light barrel markings, and crisp engraving. The upgraded wood is also very fine with attractive, dark figure, sharp checkering and borders, and just a few light handling marks. Mechanically excellent.
