The included factory letter confirms the serial number, G21B product code, Trap Grade, gauge, barrel length, and other major features at the time of its final inspection on May 19, 1948. The letter further states it was built for Monroe Hardware Co. and returned to the factory to have adjustments made to the stock on November 21, 1949. Blue Winchester Proof Steel chopper lump barrels with 2 3/4" chambers, automatic selective ejectors, standard markings, dual steel bead sights on the matte vent rib, Winchester "WP" proofs on the flats, and "FULL/FULL" marked chokes. The blued, flat-side receiver has standard markings on the jewelled water table, "TRAP" marked trigger plate, single gold washed trigger with selector, and automatic sliding tang safety. The receiver features flourishes and wedges of fine scroll engraving surrounding semi-relief gold inlaid birds on the sides and trigger plate. The tangs and trigger guard are engraved to match. Fancy figured, multi-point checkered, walnut pistol grip stock and beavertail forearm with hard rubber grip cap and solid rubber Pachmayr recoil pad. Barrel and stock measurements are: bore diameter at 9 inches from breech .742/.739; choke constriction .041/.034; minimum wall thickness .015/.019; drop at comb 1 1/2 inches; drop at heel 1 5/8 inches; length of pull 14 1/8 inches.

Fine as professionally embellished and refinished with 98% blue finish on the barrels, very slight dip in the rib just ahead of the breech end support, and some very light muzzle wear. The receiver has an overall plum tint with crisp engraving and markings, faint traces of light spotting, and fine gold inlays. The wood is very fine as factory altered (as noted in letter) with attractive figure, sharp checkering, and some small scattered dings. Mechanically excellent.
