Manufactured in 1963 and subsequently upgraded by Simmons to present configuration. Single steel bead sight on the Simmons matte, vent rib, 3 inch chamber, choke marked and measured at full, standard barrel markings, and matching Winchester "WP" proofs on the barrel and receiver. Matching serial numbers on the barrel assembly and receiver, and jewelled lifter and bolt carrier. Fancy figured, walnut pistol grip stock and double diamond checkered extension forearm with blue steel grip cap and checkered Winchester buttplate. Stock measurements are: drop at comb 1 7/16 inches; drop at heel 2 1/16 inches; length of pull 14 3/4 inches.

Very fine as upgraded by Simmons Gun Specialties with 95% plus blue finish on the barrel, some small slide retraction marks, and light handling marks. The receiver has an overall plum tint with some pin point spotting, and faint surface pitting visible on the sides. The wood is also very fine with attractive grain, sharp checkering, and some small dings. Mechanically excellent.
