Description:

No maker's marks. Approximately 35 1/4 inch curved blade decorated with etched floral, martial, and patriotic American motifs. Gilt brass hilt with floral patterns. Wire and leather wrapped grip. Steel scabbard with gild brass fittings decorated mainly with floral designs along with a patriotic shield.

Rating Definition:

Fine with mild pitting in the front section of the otherwise bright blade, distinct etching, trace of original gold on the hilt, mild age related wear on the grip, mottled dark gray patina on the body of the scabbard, aged patina on the hardware, and general mild wear.
