Manufactured circa 1930-31 and subsequently masterfully engraved by Angelo Bee. The receiver is finished in a satin grey and the remaining metal surfaces are finished in blue. The receiver is beautifully engraved with animal scenes on each side surrounded by floral vine designs. The left side has a gold relief hunting dog scaring up two gold relief pheasants in a wooded scene and the right side has a gold relief hunting dog chasing a gold relief duck in a marsh scene. The lower portion of each scene is signed "A BEE". The top of the receiver has a gold relief hunting dogs head with a dead rabbit in its mouth. The muzzle end of the barrel has a thin gold inlaid wire band around it and the breech end has a gold inlaid wire band with a fancy swirling end. Blade front and elevation screw adjustable rear sights. Two line Fabrique Nationale/Browning patent marking on top of the barrel ahead of the rear sight, Belgium and Liege proofs on the left rear. Belgium proof marks are also present on the upper left front of the receiver and on the bolt. Gold washed trigger and mounted with a extra fancy replacement multi-point checkered walnut forearm and round knob pistol grip stock with a checkered bare butt. Comes with a Certificate of Authenticity from Angelo Bee dated 05/15/2019 guaranteeing "22 CAL., TYPE III WITH GOLD, GRADE IV"/"35809" as being authentic. Comes with a hard case with leather straps, handle and corner protectors and green felt lining.

Very fine as masterfully embellished by Master Engraver Angelo Bee. 99% plus blue finish remains on the barrel and magazine tube. 98% of the satin grey finish remains with some high edge wear. All of the gold inlay remains. The markings are clear. The engraving remains sharp. The stock is ill-fitting at the rear of the receiver, otherwise it shows a couple light scratches on the left wrist and sharp checkering. The action is excellent. The case is excellent with some light handling marks on the exterior.
