This is a nice example of a late production Winchester Model 1906 Expert model that was manufactured in 1919. These rifles were the same as the standard 1906s but were produced with a pistol grip stock and contoured pump handle. The left side of the barrel has the two line address/patent dates marking followed by "MOD 06" ahead of the rear sight and the caliber marking at the breech. The factory proof is stamped on the barrel and receiver. Sheard blade Marbles front sight, adjustable 1901 date patent marked rear sight and Marble folding tang sight. All blue finish with a late production gum wood stock and contoured forearm and factory buttplate.

Very fine. The rifle retains 70% original blue finish with strong blue on the barrel and magazine tube with some wear and flaking in front of the loading port of the tube. The receiver shows edge wear and light scratches. The underside of the receiver, trigger guard and lower tang have turned a brown patina. The wood is fine showing numerous minor handling marks with 85% of the original stock varnish. The buttplate is a little oversized on the top and bottom which may indicate an old replacement. Mechanically excellent.
