Manufacture date of 1954 given by the Winchester Arms Collectors Association. Manufactured as a deluxe grade with standard markings including offset Winchester factory oval proofs on the barrel and receiver at the breech. The proofs are offset to the left to accommodate the matted strip on top of the receiver and the desirable, factory installed, early "doughnut" post variation ventilated rib, which is fitted with dual German silver bead sights. Jeweled bolt and carrier, matching numbers on the receiver collar and receiver, "SKEET" marked choke on the left of the barrel at the breech, and 3 inch chamber. Mounted with a finely figured, double diamond pattern, checkered slide handle and pistol grip stock with a checkered Winchester buttplate and 13 1/2 inch length of pull.

Very fine, retains 95% plus original blue finish with some very light edge and moderate cycling wear, and some scattered light handling marks. The refinished wood has a few scattered light handling marks, crisp checkering, and strong varnish throughout. Mechanically excellent.
