Named for their association with America's airborne units, the U.S. M1A1 Paratrooper Carbine was solely made by the Inland Manufacturing Division of General Motors in two identified serial number blocks. "N" marked blade front and later style production replacement "I.R.CO." adjustable rear sights, with an Inland barrel dated "1-43", unmarked barrel band, flat bolt, milled trigger guard, toggle safety, smooth unmarked magazine catch. The stock is the flat bottom low wood pattern with a two-rivet handguard, and folding wire buttstock with cast checkered buttplate. Includes canvas web sling and two extra extended magazines in a "jungle" style bracket.

Rating Definition:

Fine with 80% original dark parkerized finish, 75% original blue on bolt, crisp markings, some areas of edge wear, and cycling marks on the blued bolt. The stock is very good with a visible 1 inch hairline crack at the right side of the heel, numerous dings and dents, slightly loose grip handle, absent leather on the cheekpiece, and weak spring on the buttplate. Mechanically excellent.
