Manufactured in 1943. Fixed sights, with the two line, two block Colt address and patent markings on the left side of the slide, divided by the Rampant Colt, "P" on top, and the matching serial number beneath the firing pin stop. "W.B." inspected frame, with "W/VP" and "55" on the trigger guard, and a Canadian Army "broad arrow in C" stamp on the left side of the frame and slide. Checkered milled trigger, wide hammer, slide catch and thumb safety, arched mainspring housing, reinforced Colt grips, full blue magazine marked "L" on the toe and a blued barrel with small "G" and "COLT 45 AUTO" markings.

Very fine, with 80% of the original parkerized finish, showing areas of brown and gray patina concentrated on the grip straps, a small amount of spotting, and some dents and scratches. The replacement magazine catch is finished in blue. The grips are good, with some dents and scratches. Mechanically fine.
