Description:

This is a standard Spencer Model 1865 carbine with a Stabler cut-off; however, its provenance is quite unique! This carbine was owned by legendary American cultural icon Johnny Cash and includes a framed letter of provenance signed by Cash and dated February 1, 1988, stating this carbine came from his personal collection.

Rating Definition:

Very good with attractively aged dark brown patina throughout, some patches of mild pitting mainly on the left side of the frame, and general mild wear. The wood is fine and has moderate age and handling related wear along with a small chip on the left. Mechanically fine. The document and frame are excellent with minor storage wear.
