This is an exceptional example of a 1945 dated WWII British Enfield No. 4 Mk 1(T) sniper rifle that is fitted with a No. 32 Mk III scope and mount. These rifles were the standard WWII British sniper rifles used until the early 1960s. The butt socket is marked "M47C/1945/S39516/TR", with traces of a No. 4 Mk. I T marking on the left side of the receiver between the scope bases. It has a black wartime finish and a walnut buttstock, forend and handguards. The comb of the stock is fitted with a hardwood cheekpiece held on with two wood screws. It has the standard blade front sight and a properly trimmed-down "No.7" rear sight. The underside of the forearm is numbered to match the receiver along with some crown proofs, with the underside of the stock marked "SLN/74" and "S51", with the number "24463" (matching the scope) on top of the wrist. It is currently fitted with a No. 32 Mk III sniper scope that is marked "TEL. STG. No.32 Mk.3/OS 2039A/CT&H No 24463" with blue "B" and red "W" marks on the scope body, standard post and cross-hair reticle pattern, matching individual numbers on the scope ring halves, and a metal base numbered to match the rifle. A brown leather sling is installed, as is a 1945 dated set of leather lens protectors. Included with the rifle is a green painted hardwood transit case, white paint stencil numbered to match the rifle, and containing a number of accessories; a tan canvas scope case, bayonet, extra magazine, manual, canvas case, cleaning tools, a small multi-tool, and a scarce scout scope with tripod.

Excellent, with 98% of the arsenal blue/black finish, showing some mild wear, areas of brown patina, scattered spotting and mild handling marks. Mild dents and scratches are present on the stock, and the scope shows some mild wear and good optics. The scout scope is lodged in its leather case, preventing inspection, otherwise the accessories are in good order. Mechanically excellent.
