Imported in 1966 by Golden State Arms, one of the first importers of the early HK G3 and HK41 rifles. Hooded post front and adjustable drum rear sights, standard markings on the left side of the magazine well, trigger group marked "MADE IN GERMANY FOR/SANTA FE DIVISION/GOLDEN STATE ARMS CORPORATION/PASADENA-CALIFORNIA-U.S.A./CAL. 7.62 mm NATO", later style "S/F" marked trigger group with welded tabs (to prevent the installation of an automatic trigger group) and functional flapper magazine release, ventilated and fluted handguard, textured pistol grip, and matching straight grip stock with serrated plastic buttplate. With unmarked storage box, fitted styrofoam interior, extra magazine, two slings, cleaning kit, and small bags of various extra internal parts.

Very good with 95% original dark gray zinc phosphate finish. Some light edge wear, small scratches and dings, and small handling marks. The wood is very good with numerous small dings and dents. Mechanically excellent.
