Description:

Approximately 25,000 Model 1875s were manufactured between 1875 and 1889. It has the standard "pinched" blade and top strap groove sights, "E. REMINGTON & SONS. ILION. N.Y. U.S.A." on top of the barrel, "44W" stamped on the left grip, lanyard loop on the butt, "436" hand marked on the back of the cylinder, "436/738" on the loading gate, "436" on the trigger guard tip and left side of the grip frame at the toe, and faint hand-written numbers inside the grips.

Rating Definition:

Excellent with 95% plus untouched original nickel plating, light scratches and marks throughout, mild cylinder drag lines, and slight flaking on the face of cylinder and frame to the right of the trigger. The grips are also excellent and have smooth oiled finish, light pressure marks, and minor handling wear. Mechanically excellent.
