Description:

Manufactured in 1883. Features a German silver blade front sight, adjustable sporting rear sight, "WHITNEYVILLE ARMORY CT. U.S.A. KENNEDY" on top ahead of the rear sight, "45-60" on top at the breech, the early serpentine style lever, the two-line patent marking on the upper tang, smooth stock and forearm, and empty stock compartment. Originally from the Lewis Steadman Collection.

Rating Definition:

Very good with strong traces of original blue finish, mostly light brown patina on the balance, some minor oxidation/pitting, general scrapes and dings on the metal and wood, a small divot in the left side of the wrist, and some dark stains on the wood. Mechanically excellent.
