Manufactured in 1958. The accompanying factory letter lists this revolver with a 7 1/2 inch barrel in .44 caliber, blue finish and type of stocks not listed when shipped to Jerry Berman & Sons of San Bernardino, California, on August 14, 1958. According to Colt SAA expert Don Wilkerson only 763 blued Second Generations with 7 1/2 inch barrels in .44 Special were manufactured. Fitted with silver Rampant Colt medallion grips featuring a relief carved eagle/shield motif. Matching serial numbers on the frame, grip straps and cylinder ("119").

Excellent, retaining 95% plus original blue finish showing some high edge and side muzzle wear, grip straps thinning to a brown with some light spotting on the back strap and drag lines on the cylinder. There are a few minor scratches on the barrel. 98% original case colors remain on the frame. The sides of the hammer show some aging. The undersized grips are very good with typical hairline age cracking, some minor handling marks and crisp carving. Mechanically excellent. Provenance: The John Fox Collection.
