Manufactured in 1895 as a third model with integral dust cover rail and dust cover with serrations at the rear. This example was originally chambered in .22 Long and later modified to accept .22 Long Rifle. It has standard markings along with "O.A.W." added on the upper left flat and an "R" added immediately following the "22 LONG" caliber designation at the breech. The caliber marking on the bottom cartridge elevator is unchanged. Fitted with German silver blade front, two-leaf Lyman rear, and tang mounted Lyman peep sights, set trigger, and mounted with a smooth forearm and straight grip stock with a crescent buttplate.

Fine, retains 60% plus original blue finish and traces of original case colors on the hammer with the balance having thinned to a brown or grey patina in some areas. Small cold blue touch up over the added "R" marking and the barrel has been crowned. The lightly sanded and reoiled wood is fine with numerous minor dings and scratches scattered throughout and a few hairline cracks near the buttplate. Mechanically excellent.
