Manufactured in 1880 and features special order deluxe wood and half length magazine tube. The top barrel flat is marked with the two line address ahead of the rear sight, and there is no usually found caliber designation marking. The bottom of the brass cartridge elevator is marked "HHHollister". The upper tang is marked "MODEL 1873", and the serial number is on the lower tang behind the lever latch. Blue barrel, magazine tube and Second Model dust cover and screw attached rail, and case colored remaining parts. Mounted with a very nicely figured multi-point checkered walnut forearm and straight grip stock with a crescent buttplate.

Very fine as restored with a light scratch ahead of the rear sight, some light spotting on the dust cover and receiver. The rear sight can be easily moved side to side . The stock shows an old repaired small crack on the right side stock at the buttplate, otherwise only light handling marks and very crisp checkering. The markings are clear. The action is excellent. A very nice looking restored Model 1873.
