There is also a "2" marked above or below the serial numbers on the barrel, trigger guard, and back strap. The case contains an eagle and martial pattern powder flask and a cap tin with deteriorated paper exterior.

Rating Definition:

Fine with 80% original finish on the barrel, 90% refinished, remarked blue finish on the cylinder as well as some oxidation at the rear, 70% original case colors with fading mostly on the loading lever and hammer, 60% original silver plating, aged patina on the silver and exposed brass, all but one of the cylinder safety pins solid, and minor overall wear mostly from age. The grip is very fine and has nearly all of the original varnish remaining and light dings mostly at the lower edges. Mechanically excellent. The repaired, refinished case is fair and has storage wear, reglued corners, and some fading on the reapplied lining. The flask is very good and has aged patina.
