EDINBURGH." retailer marking on the rib, Birmingham proofs flanking an "O.N" maker's mark on the upper left barrel flat, additional proofs between the chambers, and "425" on the back of the barrel lug, face of the cylinder, and butt. It comes in custom hardwood case along with a box of 50 .32 caliber short rimfire cartridges marked "Manufactured for/QUINTANA HERMANOS,/Mexico, D.F."

Rating Definition:

Fine with 40% original gold plating remaining, strong original niter blue on some of the small parts, smooth gray or brown patina on the balance, crisp engraving and markings, absent ejector pin screw, minor oxidation/pitting, and general mild age and handling related wear. The grips are very fine and have attractive natural tones and grain, minor age cracks, and some slight shrinkage. Mechanically fine. The refinished, relined case and cartridge box are very good and have mild storage wear including a thin crack and a filled spot in the lid. This would make for a very interesting and attractive addition to any Smith & Wesson collection.
