This example has a band of floral engraving on the barrel and additional engraving designs around the outside of the frame on the right side which is also marked "THE PROTECTOR PAT.MCH.6.83.AUG.29.93" in a circle inside the side plate. The left side plate is checkered around the border with "CHICAGO FIRE ARMS CO. CHICAGO, ILL" in a circle at the center. The left side plate twists off to reveal the magazine which is numbered "10376", which matches the inside of the frame and side plate. The pistol has checkered hard rubber side panels and grip. Includes a reproduction green leatherette box with "Protector" green label on the lid.

Very fine, retains 95% original nickel finish with some scattered light flaking and spotting. The grips are also very fine with a few scattered light handling marks and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. The reproduction box is very good with some mild wear and staining.
