Description:

This interesting ring gun appears to be one of the very few manufactured by Francis Lebeda. Evidence of Lebeda's desire to produce these fascinating guns was discovered in a 2012 article from The Gazette out of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, however little else is known. The basic appearance and function is very similar to antique examples of "Le Petite Protector" ring guns which are very desirable among collectors. This example, per notes from the consignor, fires a 4.5 mm ball using modern No. 11 percussion caps. The ring itself is of brass construction with the cylinder, cylinder shield, trigger, and plunger of blued steel. Includes a small leatherette ring style box with a plaque inside marked "CESKA PEE YEHT SHOT". A very interesting piece that would instantly become a talking point of your collection.

Rating Definition:

Very fine overall, retains 98% blue finish with a few scattered light patches of brown patina and the brass showing a mostly bright finish with some scattered light scratches. Mechanically appears to function as intended. The case is very fine with minimal handling/storage wear.
