Description:

This rifle was built by Jerry Kirklin, then in Birmingham, Michigan, and features a nickel-silver blade front sight, notch rear sight, "J Kirklin" signature on top of the barrel, and attractive 18th century style engraving on the upper tang, lock, brass furniture, and even the trigger plate. The stock has incised carving including lines along the forend and toe, "tear drops" at the ends of the flats, and scroll patterns at the barrel tang and the sides of the butt. It also has a very nice red finish and attractive flame figure concentrated on the rear half.

Rating Definition:

Very fine overall as custom made with 95% plus original plumb blue/brown finish on the barrel and lock, minor specks of oxidation, crisp signature and engraving, light natural aged patina on the brass, minor strike wear on the frizzen, and light handling and storage type marks on the metal and stock.
