Manufactured in 1907, the accompanying factory letter verifies the serial number, 44/c caliber, 7 1/2" barrel, blue finish with grips as "not Listed" and that it was shipped as 1 to Harper & Reynolds Company, Los Angeles, California on October 30, 1907. Fixed blade front sight, one line Hartford address on top of barrel and "(BISLEY MODEL) / COLT FRONTIER SIX SHOOTER" marked on left. The left side of the frame is marked with the two line, three date patent markings followed by the circled Rampant Colt. The loading gate is marked with the assemble number "3626" and there is a "1" above the firing pin hole. Matching numbers on the frame, trigger guard and back strap. Wide, low hammer spur with wide trigger, characteristic "humpback" grip and checkered hard rubber grips with Rampant Colt emblem at the top.

Very good. The barrel, cylinder and ejector rod housing retain 40% original bright blue finish with the balance having a smooth grayish patina. The trigger guard retains 30% original finish, the top of the back strap retains most of the original blue finish, with the balance of the trigger guard, back strap and the front strap having a smooth gray patina. The frame has a smooth brownish gray patina with 20% of the original vivid case colors. The grips are fine with a few minor nicks on the right panel, minor handling marks and crisp checkering. The markings are crisp and clear. The action is excellent.
