Description:

The barrel has a bead style blade front sight, adjustable notch rear sight, and "DAVID LURCH 157 GRAND ST NEW YORK" (active c. 1869-1875) on top of the breech section. It also has "29" on the muzzle and inside the patch box lid, "5" on the base of the front sight, an unmarked back action lock, double set triggers, horn forend cap, brass furniture, sling swivels on the forend and front of the trigger guard, checkered wrist, and a German silver star on the cheek piece.

Rating Definition:

Fine overall with smooth gray and brown patina, aged patina on the furniture, minor oxidation, some slight flakes and hairline cracks in the otherwise fine stock, distinct checkering, and mild wear. Mechanically fine.
