Description:

Features the rampant lion and crown over a torse emblem of the Honourable East India Company along with a "2" at the cent of the lock, "1801" and an unknown calligraphic marking at the tail of the lock, additional calligraphic markings on top of the barrel along with London proofs and the East India Co. heart marking. The stock, cock, tall frizzen, and furniture all appear to have been made in Southeast Asia, possibly Nepal.

Rating Definition:

Good with gray and brown patina as well as mild oxidation/pitting on the lock and barrel, aged patina on the brass, and general moderate wear. The revarnished stock is fair and has moderate scratches and dents, repairs along the forend, and some hairline cracks. The vent sits at the bottom and rear of the pan, and there is a gap between the pan and the barrel; however, it is mechanically fine.
