NEWARK, N.J.", full choke, integral scope bases on the rib, and Suhl proofs on the chambers. Casehardened, scalloped, bolstered, box lock receiver with single bolt Kirsten third fastener, standard proofs, unique double handspanner (hand cocking) action, and dual triggers (rifle barrel is set trigger). The receiver features full coverage, fine floral and scroll engraving, surrounding game bird scenes on the side of grouse on the right and ducks on the left. With matching engraved trigger guard and finely knurled cocking pieces. Checkered walnut pistol grip stock and forearm with engraved fittings, raised cheekpiece, scalloped horn grip cap, and serrated horn buttplate. Barrel and stock measurements are: bore diameter at 9 inches from breech .721; minimum wall thickness .035; choke constriction .045; drop at comb 1 9/16 inches; drop at heel 2 3/4 inches; length of pull 13 7/8 inches.

Very fine with 95% plus original blue finish on the barrels, scattered small nicks and scratches, traces of surface spotting, and some mild edge wear. The receiver has 85% original muted case colors with some light edge wear, crisp detailed engraving, and some wear around the cocking pieces. The wood is fine with attractive color, mostly crisp checkering, small dings and pressure marks throughout, and some chipping on the buttplate. The set trigger no longer functions as a set trigger, otherwise mechanically very good.
