Coin gray finished action with cross bolt third fastener, hand detachable locks, dual gold washed triggers, and automatic sliding tang safety. The action and locks feature full coverage game scene engraving with leafy scroll borders with a scene of two pointers and a pair of quail on the right, a retriever and three pheasants on the left, and a pair of ducks on the underside. The birds and dogs are rendered in fine, relief carved gold inlay. The lock pins and cocking indicators are brightly gold plated and the break lever has a pierced through game bird design at the end. The trigger guard and tangs are engraved to match. Checkered walnut pistol grip stock and forearm with engraved fittings, contrasting wood teardrops at the wrist, matching engraved blue steel grip cap with gold inlaid "ST" monogram, and solid rubber recoil pad. The second barrel set is 26 inches with a vent rib, numbered to the gun with chambers marked and measured at 3 inches, improved cylinder/modified chokes, and matching markings and engraving. Includes burgundy leather bound takedown case with interior label marked "CUSTOM MADE BY/J. Fanzoj Ferlach/for Thornton Snider". 28 inch barrel measurements are: bore diameter at 9 inches from breech .609/.612; choke constriction .007/.019; minimum wall thickness .036/.026. 26 inch barrel measurements are: bore diameter at 9 inches from breech .611/.611; choke constriction .007/.014; minimum wall thickness .023/.021. Stock measurements are: drop at comb 1 5/16 inches; drop at heel 2 5/16 inches; length of pull 14 7/8 inches.

Excellent with 99% original blue finish on the barrels, and a few scattered light handling marks. The action and locks are also excellent with highly detailed engraving and gold inlays, and some very small scratches visible on the trigger guard. The wood is also excellent with attractive grain, crisp checkering, and just a few small scattered dings. Mechanically excellent. Second barrel is excellent with light handling marks. Case is good with scuffs and dings on the exterior, and visible damage to the interior lining.
