Manufactured in 1941. Hooded ramped beaded blade front sight with a filler block in the rear sight dovetail, standard barrel markings, and Winchester "WP" proofs on the left side of the barrel and receiver at the breech. The receiver ring is factory drilled and tapped with filler screws in place and the bridge is fitted with a Lyman fully adjustable rear peep sight. The bolt, extractor, follower, and right receiver rail are jewelled. The bolt is unnumbered. The floor plate is stamped "SUPER GRADE". Wraparound checkered stock with black forend cap, hard rubber Winchester grip cap, silver initial oval inscribed "JAH", raised cheekpiece, and checkered steel buttplate.

Very fine. 97% original blue finish remains on the barrel and receiver with some light handling marks, and scattered small surface scratches. The bolt handle is refinished, and the jewelling on the bolt and extractor does not match the follower. The wood is fine as lightly sanded and varnished with some gaps around the upper tang and rear of the trigger guard, sharp checkering, and small scattered dings. Mechanically excellent.
