Manufactured in 1943. Blade and flat top notch sights, with the standard slide markings, "FJA" inspected frame, stamped trigger, thin checkered hammer, long grip safety, replacement checkered thumb safety, replacement serrated slide stop and arched mainspring housing, reinforced Keyes Fiber grips, full blue magazine marked "S" on the base baseplate, and a High Standard "HS" barrel. With "US" embossed, "42" dated Boyt leather holster.

Very fine with 90% plus original dark parkerized finish, some flaking and gray patina on the small parts, edge wear, and cycling marks. The grips are also very fine with mostly crisp checkering, and some small dings and scratches. Mechanically excellent. Holster is very good with scuffs and scrapes overall, legible markings, some surface cracking, tight stitching, and overall solid construction.
