Manufactured in 1950, as part of a limited batch (about 250) ordered by the State Quartermaster of New York via the Albany Hardware and Tool Company. Fixed sights, with "PROPERTY OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK" stamped on the right side of the slide in addition to the standard markings. Fitted with a thin hammer, serrated trigger and mainspring housing, checkered grips with Rampant Colt imprints, an unmarked two-tone magazine and a "COLT 45 AUTO" marked barrel. Traces of an old label (original text unknown) are present on the left side of the frame ahead of the trigger guard.

Excellent, with 98% original blue finish, showing some bright edge wear, mild scratches, and a small amount of spotting. The grips are very fine, with some scuffs and scratches. Mechanically excellent.
