Manufactured in 1942. Fixed sights, with the two line, two block Colt address and patent markings on the left side of the slide, divided by the Rampant Colt, "P" on top, and the matching serial number stamped beneath the firing pin stop. "W.B." inspected frame, with "W/VP" and "23" on the trigger guard. Checkered milled trigger, wide hammer, slide catch and thumb safety, arched mainspring housing, reinforced Colt grips, "R" marked full blue magazine and a large "G" marked "COLT 45 AUTO" barrel. Includes "US" embossed Harpham Bros. leather holster.

Very fine with 90% plus original green parkerized finish, some areas of minor edge wear, handling marks, and a trace of spotting on the front grip strap. The grips are also very fine with mostly sharp checkering, and some small dings and scratches. Mechanically excellent. Holster is good with verdigris around the fittings, scuffs and dings, tight stitching, and overall solid construction.
