This is a WWII 1943 dated Model 1891/30 Mosin-Nagant sniper rifle that has been subsequently arsenal refurbished and refitted with a post war Hungarian beech wood stock and handguard set. This was one of the standard WWII sniper rifle fielded by the Russian Army. The breech end of the barrel is marked with the Hammer & Sickle/1943/serial number, HB390 over the Izhevsk Arrow/inside a Triangle proof. The left side of the receiver still has the PU scope base attached and the scope is marked with the Hammer/Sickle over 91/30 No. 41249. The rifle has the original tangent rear sight calibrated from 100-2000 meters with a hooded post front. It still has the original sniper bolt which was correctly lengthened and turned down to clear the scope. Matching numbers on the barrel, bolt, floor plate and buttplate. The PU scope mount is unnumbered. As noted it has been fitted with a post-war unnumbered beech wood buttstock and handguard, exactly like the type issued for the Hungarian type 1891/30 sniper rifles. It comes with a cleaning rod, as set of leather lens caps and a post war leather sling.

Very fine as arsenal refurbished with 90% plus of the blue finish overall with edge and high spot wear with considerable blue loss and scratches on the muzzle from where a bayonet was attached. The scope and mount retain 95% of this blued finish. The replacement stock and handguard are also both in very fine condition.
