This is certainly one of the most striking WWII Canadian Inglis Chinese Contract pistols offered for sale. This pistol has been completely "Gold Plated" on all the metal surfaces, parts and components except for a few small internal parts and springs. Even down the bore of the Barrel and the magazine. There are several examples of similar pistols in the book "The Browning High Power" on pages 101, 102, 103, 110 and 130. Obviously these were intended to be given away as presents to high ranking individuals in the Chinese Government or Army at the outset of WWII. This pistol is actually an early WWII Canadian Inglis MKI* High Power pistol as used by Commonwealth forces during WWII. The pistol is marked on the left side of the slide with the long line of large Chinese Characters over "BROWNING FN 9MM HP. INGLIS CANADA" and on the right side it has the stacked serial numbers "CH752" on frame, slide and barrel, along with the Canadian acceptance proofs. The gun is equipped with the tangent sight graduated from 50-500 meters and the back strap is cut for a shoulder stock. This pistol is complete with an original combination wooden holster/shoulder stock that is correctly marked on the side "SA Ltd./1945".

Excellent with 99% of the original gold plate finish remaining with just a couple of areas that have flaked off, like the edges of the frame and slide rails. The grips are in excellent condition. The wooden holster/stock is in excellent condition with nice clear markings and minimal handling marks.
