Blued, dovetail lump "SPEZIAL GEWEHRLAUFSTAHL" marked barrels with chambers marked and measured at 2 3/4 inches, "WOODCOCK HILL BENTON PA" marking on the underside of the rib, cylinder/improved modified chokes, single bead sight on the concave matte rib, and standard proofs on the flats. Coin gray finished receiver and locks with cross bolt third fastener, lined cocking indicators, dual triggers, and manual sliding tang safety. The receiver features flourishes of fine scroll engraving with floral accents and bouquets and the locks are engraved with highly detailed game scenes of hunting dogs stalking rabbits on the right, and a fox hunting ducks on the left. Attractive straight grain walnut, straight grip stock and forearm with engraved fittings, and checkered plastic buttplate. Stock measurements are: drop at comb 1 1/2 inches; drop at heel 2 1/2 inches; length of pull 14 3/8 inches.

Excellent with 99% original blue finish, light handling marks, and some very small scattered surface nicks. The receiver and locks have a thin coat of yellowing protective varnish, otherwise the metal remains bright and the engraving sharp. The wood is also excellent with sharp checkering and some scattered small dings. Mechanically excellent.
