ND - VERY GOOD- in working condition, 80% finish or better, appreciable wear on working surfaces 80% - 89%, no corrosion or pitting, minor surface dents or scratches. Wood condition commensurable with percent of finish with dings and dents associated with 80% - 89% gun.

Single brass bead sight on the concave solid rib, choked improved cylinder/modified and 2 3/4 inch chambers with ejectors and cross bolt third fastener. The tops of the barrels are marked "ROWLAND WATSON" and "BIRMINGHAM ENGLAND" and the bottom flats have Birmingham proof marks dated 1950. The "Rowland Watson" marked receiver is floral scroll and border engraved with game scenes on the sides and underside, with a non-selective single trigger and automatic slide safety with gold "SAFE". The breech end of both barrels, the concave rib and the forearm hardware are also floral scroll and border engraved. Mounted on a multi-point checkered walnut forearm and nicely figured checkered straight grip stock with a silver initial oval marked "John S. duMont" and a solid rubber recoil pad. Chambers proved and measured at 2 3/4 inches; bores proved at "12" (.729) and measured at .728/.728; chokes .008/.017: length of pull is 14 1/2 inches.

Very good. The shotgun retains 80% plus original blue finish on the barrels showing overall thinning, some light scratches and wear at the muzzles and the rib is slightly raised at the joint but solid. The casehardened receiver, break lever and trigger have darkened with age. The forearm and stock are very good as refinished with light handling marks, a few scratches and minor pressure dents. Mechanically excellent.
