This is one of 1,518 Registered Magnums manufactured with a 6 1/2 inch barrel. The accompanying registration certificate confirms the 6 1/2 inch barrel, "3365" registered number, Call gold bead front sight, square notch adjustable rear sight and registered by Harry David of Salt Lake City, Utah. The original registration certificate mailing tube is also included. The tube retains a shipping label that is addressed to Harry David, Hotel Utah, Salt Lake City, Utah. Matching serial numbers are on the butt, right grip panel, cylinder and ejector shroud. The original factory box is numbered to the gun (serial number and registration number). A collaborative effort between the city's multiple religious faith leaders and business owners, the Hotel Utah opened in 1911 as Salt Lake City's premier luxury hotel and over the next several decades catered elite international clientele before operations ceased in 1987 due to financial losses and the need to for extensive renovations. In 1993, it reopened as the Joseph Smith Memorial Building in honor the Mormon founder, and serves today as a social center complete with three restaurants, 13 banquet rooms and catering services. The building also houses administrative offices for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Although Harry David remains unidentified as of this writing, it is reasonable to assume that he was a Hotel Utah or possibly a LDS executive.

Excellent, retaining 99% plus of the original blue and casehardened finishes with a cylinder drag line and minimal handling marks. The grips are very fine with a few minor handling marks (mostly on the bottom) and crisp checkering overall. Mechanically excellent. The box is very good with minor-moderate edge wear.
