Manufactured from 1907 to 1915 with this example featuring a highly attractive engraving with gold inlaid embellishments. The near full coverage deep relief floral scroll engraving is on a stippled background and is accented with gold inlaid line bordering. The left side of the frame has a menacing gold inlaid mountain lion scene. The S&W trademark on the side plate and the serial number and factory rework star on the butt are also in gold. The crane is signed with the engraver's initials "TP". The hammer and trigger are casehardened, and the remaining surfaces are bright. Fitted with plain pearl grips. Matching serial numbers on the butt, cylinder, and ejector shroud.

Rating Definition:

Very fine as professionally embellished with the revolver retaining an overall bright appearance. 90% of the case colors remain on the hammer and trigger. The grips are fine with some surface chipping on the right panel near the top and attractive fiery colors. Mechanically excellent. Provenance: Dr. Gerald Klaz collection.
