Manufactured from 1915 to 1917, with this example having British military proofs including "crossed pennants." A lanyard ring is mounted on the butt. Each checkered grip panel has a highly detailed and unusual relief carved furious, opened mouth tiger's head. Matching serial numbers are on the butt, cylinder and barrel. The oak partitioned case features a cartridge block holding a full count of 30 rounds. The exterior of the lid has a brass inlay engraved with a family crest. Also comes with a screwdriver and the original S&W checkered walnut grips.

Excellent, retaining 97% original blue finish showing some light thinning on the grip straps and minor handling marks overall. 97% original case colors remain on the hammer and trigger. The grips are fine with a few typical hairline age cracks, a short crack on the left panel, and crisp checkering and carving overall. Mechanically excellent.
