The included factory letter confirms the serial number, caliber, nickel finish, and February 26, 1925 date of shipment to Wolf & Klar of Fort Worth, Texas as one of 50 guns shipped. The grips are noted as "Not listed" in the letter. Wolf and Klar was a well known pawn shop, jewelry store and gun retailer, perhaps best known for being the location where Kathryn Kelly purchased a Thompson submachine gun for her husband, the infamous though inept George "Machine Gun" Kelly. Blade front and round top notch rear sights, standard two-line address and patent marking on the left side of the slide with the Rampant Colt behind the serrations. Fitted (likely by Wolf & Klar) with a set of smooth pearl grips.

Excellent with 97% plus original bright nickel finish, some small nicks and dings around the muzzle, light spotting visible in the serrations, and some small surface scratches. The period retailer replaced grips are very fine with some small dings and scratches. Mechanically excellent.
