Manufactured in 1903, the first year of production. Correct early two line, two block "BROWNING'S PATENT" address and patent markings on the left side of the slide, with the circled Rampant Colt behind the serrations and "AUTOMATIC COLT/CALIBRE 32 RIMLESS SMOKELESS" below the ejector port. The overall finish is Colt's high polish commercial blue, with a fiery niter blue on the smaller components. The grips are checkered hard rubber, with Rampant Colt imprints at the bottoms and scalloped-border "COLT" banners at the tops.

Very fine, with 85% of the bright original high polish blue finish, showing some, bright edge wear, areas of brown and gray patina, and light handling marks. 80% bright original niter blue is present on the trigger and thumb safety. The grips are also very fine, with some scuffs and dings. Mechanically excellent.
