Description:

Manufactured in 1941, the Robert Sears inspected Colts marked the transition point from Colt's high polish blue to the Parkerization treatment that would become the standard for the rest of the war. Blade and flat top notch sights, with the Rampant Colt bisected address and patents on the matching numbered slide, "R.S." stamped frame (left side and top) with "T/VP" and "60" marked trigger guard, short milled trigger, wide hammer, checkered arched mainspring housing, correct checkered Colt grips (hollow backs with reinforced screw holes), two-tone magazine with "R" on the toe, and a "COLT 45 AUTO" barrel with a small "G" ahead of the lug. Included with the pistol is an unmarked period brown leather shoulder rig and an unmarked extra magazine.

Rating Definition:

Extremely fine, with 85% plus of the original blue finish, showing a brown and gray patina concentrated on the grip straps, bright edge wear, mild spotting, and some takedown and handling marks. The grips are fine, with mild dents and scratches. The holster shows mild scuffs and wear. Mechanically excellent.
