This is a very fine example of a Parker Hale Model 1200/M82 target/sniper rifle that is equipped with a German Kahles ZF69 sniper scope. Originally developed in the early 1970s as a Target rifle, they were used on a very limited as a sniper rifle by the Canadian Army and later by the Australian Army until the adoption of the L96A1 rifle. It uses the standard post-war commercial Mauser type bolt action that is fitted with a heavy varmint weight barrel chambered in 308 (probably 7.62 NATO). Its unusual in that the entire rifle and barrel are unmarked except for the serial number on the left side (P-38186) and a single British "Crown/BNP" firing proof on the receiver. It is fitted with a standard two-piece set of Parker Hale type, receiver mounted scope bases that are equipped with the commercial Kahles ZF69-6X Sniper type scope. The scope has the standard 4-Plex reticle with Parker Hale type scope rings both etched "864". It is fitted with a standard walnut target type stock with a target handrail. The stock has sling swivels on the lower toe area of the stock and on the front of the trigger guard screw. It is fitted with a rubber buttplate.

Very fine with 98% of the British black painted metal finish overall with only minor edge and high spot wear. The walnut stock is also in very fine condition with only very minor handling marks. The scope, rings and bases are all in excellent condition with 98% of their finishes with clear sharp optics.
