Blade front and fixed notch rear sights on the rear toggle, "1940" dated chamber, matching serial numbers on the front of the frame, barrel extension, and underside of the barrel, matching partial serial numbers in the military style on the small parts, Mauser banner logo on the front toggle, frame drilled for a sear safety, "eagle" firing proof on the left side of the extension, and double "eagle/655" acceptance marks on the right. The pistol has a full blue finish including the small parts, and the back of each grip panel is numbered "84". With full blue "fxo" marked magazine with non-matching numbered alloy base. The combination of Nazi proofs and the sear safety holes indicate the pistol was manufactured for police issue, but was diverted to a military contract.

Rating Definition:

Excellent with 98% original blue finish, some scattered light scratches, and some mild edge wear. The grips are also excellent with crisp checkering and some light handling marks. Mechanically excellent.
